Griffins, also known as Lion Birds[1] are birds that can grow exceptionally large for their species (8.3 times larger exactly). All bird species are capable of producing griffins. Griffin eggs are distinguishable from regular eggs of their species because they are golden. A griffin can only become significantly larger if fed a lot of food, if not it will just grow into a regular sized member of its species.
